By the year 2035, it is estimated that there will be over a trillion connected devices. These devices will generate massive amounts of data. The current cloud-centric-compute infrastructure cannot handle and will not scale to meet this workload. The industry leaders, as well as startups, have recognized this issue and are working diligently to push more and more compute-task to the edge.
